- Date: May 22nd, Friday, 2026, 13:30 – 15:00
- Location: Room 303, SNUAC (Bldg. 101)
Presenter: Pham Viet Tuan (Counsellor, Embassy of Vietnam in South Korea)
South Korea–Vietnam relations have recently emerged as a key axis of East Asian economic cooperation amid the reorganization of global supply chains, expanding investment, digital transformation, and strengthened strategic partnerships. However, given that public attention in South Korea has largely focused on the overseas expansion and economic performance of Korean companies, there is a growing need to understand Vietnam’s evolving national strategies and economic development trajectory from within the Vietnamese perspective itself. This colloquium seeks to explore the future direction of Vietnam’s development strategy and Korea–Vietnam economic cooperation through the insights of a practitioner specializing in Vietnam’s foreign affairs and economy, while also considering the possibilities for a more balanced and long-term partnership.
