[News] SNUAC Vietnam Center Welcomes Delegation from Quang Ngai Provincial School of Politics
On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, SNUAC welcomed a delegation from the Quang Ngai Provincial School of Politics of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The delegation included Dr. Nguyen Viet Vy (President), Ngo Thi Ngoc Anh (Head of Administration), Pham Thi Hoa (Head of Research Division), Phan Thi Thu Thuy (Lecturer in State and Law, Assistant Professor), Tran Thanh Hung (Vice Dean of Party Building), Phan Van Sinh (Vice Dean of Political Theory), and Dinh Thi My Cong (Vice Dean of Governance and Personnel), comprising a total of seven scholars.
The Quang Ngai Provincial School of Politics is one of the provincial branches of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the training institution of the Communist Party of Vietnam. It is responsible for providing professional training for party members and civil servants, as well as continuing education in intermediate-level political theory within Quang Ngai Province.
The delegation noted that following administrative integration in 2025, the province now faces the task of achieving sustainable development by closely integrating highland agriculture and forestry with coastal heavy and chemical industries. They outlined key challenges such as improving governance efficiency, promoting integrated development between mountainous and coastal areas, and addressing vulnerabilities to climate change. President Nguyen Viet Vy expressed his hope to draw on SNUAC’s expertise and its network of specialists in various fields to help train party members and civil servants capable of responding to these challenges.
In response, Prof. Suhong Chae, Director of the Asia Center, and Prof. Yong Kyun Kim, Director of the Vietnam Center, introduced SNUAC and pledged to connect the delegation with experts in environmental policy, industrial policy, and ethnic integration within the university, as requested by President Nguyen Viet Vy. They also mentioned the possibility of organizing a reciprocal visit in the future, involving regional specialists and students studying Vietnam at SNUAC.
