This lecture analyzes women’s ecological agency in the Aceh region of Indonesia, exploring the intersection of gender, environment, and Islamic values. In particular, it examines how women reconstruct and enact their roles within local ecological contexts and religious frameworks. By doing so, the lecture offers a new perspective that connects the fields of environmental studies, religion, and gender studies.
