This event is hosted by the SNUAC Center for Asian Urban Societies and invites participants to reflect on the true meanings of social economy and ESG under the overarching theme of “Reorganizing Corporations and Space.” The speaker, Director Jinseok Seo, previously served as the head of the ESG team at SK Telecom and will draw on his extensive experience in corporate practice and policy research—accumulated through his work with Innosocial Lab, the Gyeonggi Social Economy Center, and the Green Transition Institute.
The colloquium will offer in-depth insights into how leading companies are moving beyond the notion of simply being “good companies” and are instead engaging in strategic transitions, as well as into models such as the Restorative Economy and circular economy, which seek to move past the limits of extractive capitalism. The session will be moderated by Professor Bae-Gyoon Park, Director of CAUS, with a discussion led by Dr. Eunhee Eom.
