The rapid shifts in the international order and the thawing caused by climate change have heightened the strategic value of the Arctic sea routes and increased the economic and political significance of the Eurasian region. Against this backdrop, it is essential to examine key issues surrounding the Arctic passage—including climate change, migration, and transformations in Arctic economies—and to explore new possibilities for cooperation. This discussion will address the future of transportation and trade networks connecting the Eurasian continent, proposing directions for sustainable development. It will also seek to articulate Korea’s vision and role in the emerging era of the Arctic sea route.
