  • Date: July 14th, Monday, 2025, 10:00 – 18:00
  • Location: Room 522, Bldg. 14 [in Mandarin]

Presenter: Yohei Kakinuma (Waseda Univ.)
Moderator: Byung-Joon Kim (Dept. of Asian History)

We are pleased to host a special lecture by Professor Yohei Kakinuma (柿沼陽平) from Waseda University in Japan. The speaker specializes in ancient Chinese history, economic history, and monetary history, often drawing on excavated materials from the Qin and Han periods in his research. This lecture will offer an opportunity to deepen our understanding of ancient East Asian societies through newly unearthed sources, which are a key focus of the Asia’s Intellectual Values Program. We also hope this event will serve as a catalyst for more active academic exchange with Japanese scholars.
