At the Southeast Asia Regional Studies Graduate Student Workshop, we will come together to reflect on what it means to be an “ethical regional studies researcher.” By considering ethics in both the content and methods of research, we will explore the question, “Why Southeast Asian studies?”

The workshop will begin with a keynote lecture titled Fundamental Issues in Southeast Asian Studies by Professor Samyung Park, Emeritus Professor at Kangwon National University, opening a space for intergenerational academic exchange and collective reflection.
