[News] Delegation from VinUni Visits SNUAC

On Friday, May 2, 2025, a delegation from VinUniversity in Vietnam visited the SNUAC to discuss opportunities for academic exchange and collaboration. The delegation from VinUniversity consisted of two faculty members: Professor Le Duy Anh (Economics) and Professor Jinseok Park (Business).

Representing SNUAC were Director Suhong Chae (Department of Anthropology), Professor Yongkyun Kim (Department of Political Science and International Relations, Director of the Vietnam Center), and Yoonje Lee (MA student, Department of Political Science and International Relations, and Assistant at the Vietnam Center).

VinUniversity, established in 2020 in Hanoi by Vingroup—Vietnam’s largest private enterprise—is emerging as one of the country’s leading private institutions. In collaboration with Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania, it is building a robust framework for education and research.

Professor Le Duy Anh expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and introduced VinUniversity’s liberal arts education program. He also shared plans for the establishment of a regional studies program at VinUniversity and inquired about SNUAC’s experiences in this area. In response, Prof. Chae provided an overview of SNUAC’s organizational structure, research staff, and core initiatives, and proposed future joint projects once VinUniversity launches its regional studies institute.
