Indian Conglomerates, Corporate Governance, and Economic Development: Implications for the Korean Society

This lecture examines the role that major Indian conglomerates have played in the country’s economic development and explores the implications of their experience for South Korea. Through the analysis of Professor Seung-Hoon Lee, an expert in Indian business strategy, the lecture offers a comparative perspective on the structure and development trajectories of Indian chaebols and their Korean counterparts.
Professor Seung-Hoon Lee teaches Global Strategic Management at the Indian School of Business. He holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His main research interests include organizational change and innovation, as well as issues related to national economic development. His empirical research focuses on practices in Human Resource Management and Corporate Governance, contributing to the literature on institutional theory, organizational evolution, and organizational culture.
