The Program on Asia’s Intellectual Values is focusing on the full scope and evolution of ancient East Asian legal systems, utilizing newly excavated materials. For this upcoming special lecture featuring an international scholar, we have invited Professor Kunio Hirose from Iwate University, Japan. The speaker has made significant contributions to the study of the Qin and Han legal systems through the use of bamboo slip manuscripts. We anticipate that this lecture will provide a valuable opportunity to deepen international academic exchange and research on the legal history of the Qin and Han dynasties.
