Presenter: Daeyeol Kim (INALCO)

Since 2024, the Program on Asia’s Intellectual Values has been hosting talks on the topic of “The awareness of diseases, medicine, and magic” while focusing on the Daoist values. This talk will invite INALCO’s Prof. Daeyeol Kim, who has majored in Chemistry and Religious Studies at SNU and currently continues research on the religious culture of the Joseon dynasty. As East Asian academia continues to conduct research on ghosts, medicine, and the body, this talk will become a precious opportunity to examine nature and the healing of bodies and to understand the Daoist values of Asia.
