‘Caste’ in contemporary India- What drives ‘Caste’ in present-day India?

This lecture examines ‘caste’ in modern-day India, the Indian people’s interest in ‘caste’, and the drive that maintains it. Caste is a well-known characteristic representative of India. Since the independence of India, there have been continuous efforts from the government and the public to eradicate the ill effects of caste. Nonetheless, caste keeps creating problems not only in India but also abroad where Indians are living. This lecture overviews the interest and issues regarding caste in India and illuminates the drive to maintain caste in modern India through big data analysis.
