The 1st International Conference on Warring States and Qin and Han Papers is being held to examine the aspects of ancient East Asia through the papers from the Warring States and Qin and Han eras. This conference aims to deepen international exchanges and academic research by inviting scholars from Korea, China, and Japan, through a joint organization by SNU, Wuhan University, and Kyoto University. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, international exchanges have been conducted through online conference applications such as Zoom. However, the limitation of remote communication made smooth interaction difficult, which was a regrettable aspect. Therefore, we hope to promote face-to-face international academic exchanges through this opportunity, and furthermore, expect that research and academic activities on ancient Chinese history, utilizing related materials, will become more active.
