On May 20th, Monday, “Quiz-On Arab” was held at the Convention Hall, Global Engineering Education Center Convention, SNU, co-hosted by SNUAC West Asia Center and Korea-Arab Society, and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Before the event, a booth for experiencing Arab culture was operated for participants to try Arab traditional snacks, henna, and attires.

The event began with congratulatory remarks by Changmo Kim, president of the Korea-Arab Society, and Suhong Chae, Director of SNUAC. The participants, who could be anyone interested in Arabs, passionately took part in the quiz that comprised of questions over various parts such as the language, culture, society, and religion of Arabs. After a close match, the first-place winner was Hyunwoong Myung (Busan ​​University of Foreign Studies), with second and third-place winners and five runner-up prize winners.

Before the award ceremony, the participants were offered a performance of Middle Eastern traditional instruments, oud and darbuka, and a lucky draw was held. The event closed with the award ceremony and a photo shoot with all participants.
