Songs of Love from Hawaii is an omnibus film with three stories on the early Korean migrants to the Americas and had its world premiere at the 43rd Hawaii International Film Festival last month. It will hit the theaters in Korea in the upcoming June and will be on air in the US through PBS and global OTT channels. Hawaii is where the 120-year history of Korean immigrants to the Americas started. This lecture by director Jinyoung Lee will offer us an opportunity to examine the 120 years of Korean immigration to Hawaii both temporally and spatially, and remember and conserve the Korean history of immigration.
