The Indus Civilization Study for 100 Years – Archaeology of Knowledge

2024 marks the 100th year since the discovery of the Indus civilization. We will examine how today’s knowledge on the origin, rise and fall, politics, society, culture, identity, and ideology of South Asia’s first-ever urban complex society, which has been solely depending on archaeological studies due to indecipherable text, has been formed and disputed over the past century, and then discuss the prospects of Indus archaeology in the future.
