K-pop Inside from the Perspective of Producers

What makes K-pop what it is? What is it that makes K-pop idols who they are? As K-pop expands globally, many researchers have asked what the ‘K’ in K-pop means. What could we say the characteristics of K-pop and K-pop idols are, formed in the unique context of the Korean cultural industry distinguished from pop, popstars, or popular music cultures of other countries? This roundtable seeks the answers to these questions through the thoughts and experiences of those who are producing K-pop culture in K-pop industry.
