On April 15th, fighting between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and Rapid Support Forces (RSF) broke out in Sudan. This armed conflict is assumed to have been triggered by the power conflict between Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, who seized power after ousting former president Omar al-Bashir with a military coup in 2019. This seminar will analyze the background of the conflict in Sudan and discuss the prospects of the outcome.
