Asia’s Intellectual Values were not made only by the Han people, who were agricultural people. Asia’s history had much influence from the nomads as well, so far as to be called the struggle between agricultural people and nomads. Intellectual values were also influenced by the nomads, too. This lecture by Prof. Sagawa examines the plurality in the sources related to the rise of the Xianbei and their move south. It would be an important opportunity for us to understand the multilayered structure of Asia’s intellectual values.
