The Northeast Asia Center at SNUAC has conducted a joint study with the topic ‘North Korea’s Urbanization Strategy in the Kim Jong-un Era’ as part of the ‘IPUS Construction of Basis for Unification’ project. This conference was organized to examine the ‘urbanity’ and ‘urban culture’ that are newly highlighted in the Kim Jong-un era and to discuss the results of research on the recent urbanization of North Korea.
