As seen from the recent global popularity of Squid Game, Korean content faces a new phase with Netflix, the global SVOD service. Thus Hallyu, which has been considered in terms of a specific region or fan-audience, needs to be newly conceptualized. This colloquium will examine the characteristics of global reception of Korean content in various countries through Netflix in order to envision a new horizon of Hallyu.
