There are active discussions taking place recently about the management or usage of research data.

Korea Social Science Data Archive (KOSSDA) has been investigating the use-value of research data and suggesting the related methodologies, studies, and latest trends of analysis in a comprehensive manner through Data Fairs.

KOSSDA is holding the 12th Data Fair on February 9th with the theme <Health, Relationships, and Organization Seen Through Network Analysis>. The donated network data that KOSSDA is managing can be divided into four types. Traditional network data that survey social relationships, regional social effect data as social capital, civil society movement network data, and network data that are specialized for research topics such as health, crimes, and organizations.

The 12th Data Fair will start with a lecture on network methodology, and then KOSSDA’s major network data <A Survey on Koreans’ Social Life, Health, and Aging> will be introduced by a researcher who participated in the survey. Next, a landscape of the civil society movement that actively utilizes the network approach will be presented, followed by a presentation that discusses new contents like Parasite and Joker in network analysis techniques.

• This event will be live-streamed on YouTube for the prevention of COVID-19. Anyone can participate through KOSSDA’s official YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAxVzsA-BPU8ociSBIWkeDQ).
