“Mega-Asia” and Enhanced Connectivity of Asia(s)

As the connectivity among Asian countries is increasing along with the ‘Asia’s century’ discourse, researchers at SNUAC and Duke University Kunshan Campus are coming together for presentations and discussions on the changing connectivity of Asia. Through interdisciplinary research between humanities and social sciences along with discussion, this conference will examine how the connectivity within Asian regions is changing by being interlocked with provinciality and locality, and seek areas for cooperative research related to ‘Mega-Asia’, the core agenda of HK+ Research Project Group.

    – Presentations and discussion on the movement, exchange, resistance, and adaptation within Asia from ancient times to modernity
  • [Session 2] Social Inclusion and Exclusion of Religion
    – Presentations and discussion on the experiences of Indonesia, Korea, and West Asia in terms of the complex social effects of religion
  • [Session 3] Business and Labor in Global Perspective
    – Presentations and discussion on business and labor in terms of the economy on a global level, which is the main driving force of enhancing Asia’s connectivity
