Platforms and Affect
SNUAC Center for Asian Urban Societies (CAUS) is holding a colloquium on May 14th (Fri) on “Platforms and Affect”. The colloquium will be held online for those who registered beforehand.
Plaform capitalism, platform urbanism… There is a heightened interest in platforms as a modifier to interpret contemporary capitalism and urban space. This heightened interest forms a ‘bubble’ rather than academic accuracy in urban discourses. This colloquium seeks to get rid of the bubble on platforms from the perspective of critical cultural studies and space studies and explore how we can diagnose the present with platforms as the medium and seek alternatives for the future.
