Databases constructed by international organizations are generally collected comprehensively by the hosting institution so that they have limitations in reflecting the sociocultural contexts of each nation. Therefore, statistical data are useful in understanding the overall situations of a nation and comparative study of nations, they are not so helpful in providing any in-depth contextual insight on the current issues of the nation. In order to acquire the information of Asian nations that can be utilized in actual research, country reports that reflect the actualities along with data modified and complemented with local nationals of those nations should be made.

The Global Master of Public Administration (GMPA) Program at the Graduate School of Public Administration is a master’s program operated for public servants of developing countries with sponsorship from KOICA. Students studying in this program are public servants in their respective nations with quite high levels of expertise. The country report webinar will focus on how human resources management is operated in the developing countries represented by students in the GMPA program.
