This international academic conference is planned as part of SNUAC’s Exchange and Cooperation in the Asian World Program and Asia’s Intellectual Value Program under the theme of “The East Asian Law”, which is one of the major common intellectual values of premodern Asia. The law in ancient China called luling greatly influenced not only later-generation China but also the establishment of state and legal systems in premodern Korea and Japan. This conference will gather scholars from the three Northeastern Asian countries to examine the system of luling in the Qin and Han Dynasties, clarify its entire picture, and discuss its meaning as the core intellectual value of East Asia.
