The Conference of Korean Association of Space & Environment Research

  • Date: December 13th, Friday, 2019 10:00-18:00
  • Location: Youngone Hall (Room 210), SNUAC (Bldg. 101)

This conference consists of special lectures, a joint symposium with researchers from Land & Housing Institute, a special session for Smart City, and a general session. The topic of the joint symposium held in celebration of LH’s 10th anniversary is ‘The Present Situation and Future Prospects of Global Space Cooperation in the Korean Peninsula’. It will be a meaningful place for discussion in the current situation where the Moon government is diversifying and intensifying international cooperation with New Southern Policy and other efforts. We expect an earnest discussion to be encouraged by Professor Jung Won Sonn’s special lecture ‘Cultural Empirical Research and Taxonomic Theorization’, with its critical reflection on the methodology of urban research. Another special session on ‘The Topography of Policy in Entering the Smart City’ will continue with discussions on the discourse, plans, and policy for Smart City, which has started to be introduced administratively.  Other than these, there are two general sessions in the morning on ‘The Japanese Society and Urban Space’ and ‘Theories on Multicultural Space’, and a planned session on ‘Materialism and Environment’. There will be diverse researches by rising and existing scholars presented at the autumnal conference of Korean Association of Space & Environment Research. We ask for your interest and participation.
