Save the Children, SNU Institute of Social Welfare and SNU Asia Center are jointly holding ‘2019 International Symposium on Child Well-being in Korea’ to commemorate 30 years of UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and also to share the research achievements in the fourth year of internationally comparing the quality of children’s lives. In this symposium, we will present the results of research on the quality of Korean children’s lives, and compare them to the quality of children’s lives in Spain, Bangladesh, Israel, Indonesia, and Taiwan. Furthermore, it will be a place of discussion for not only members of the academia but also the field workers and researchers at the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the city office of Seoul, and other government-affiliated research institutes to seek the direction for enhancing the quality of children’s lives in Korea.
