Why would manufacturing industries be needed in our cities? Manufacturing industries of Mass production system was crowded out of the borders of cities in the age of compressed growth and cities have become the center of consumption. As cities face the limits of growth and the problem of societal inequality, cities are once again being rearranged to sustainable and self-sufficient ways where production and consumption are in balance. Information technology and culture of technology that have developed so far have innovated the original form of manufacturing industries.
