Abstract

Climate change and environmental crisis are global tasks facing humanity in the 21st century. SNUAC Center for International Development and Cooperation has invited experts from the Green Technology Center for a round-table meeting to discuss such critical issues surrounding our environment. The methods for sustainable and eco-friendly urban development and specific cooperative measures between government organizations, researchers, and civil society will be discussed at this event.

Review

On January 14, 2019, the round-table on ‘Green Technology and International Development Cooperation‘ was organized by SNUAC Center for International Development and Cooperation.  Researchers from the Green Technology Center presented case studies related to information sharing system and technological cooperation. The cooperative measures for sustainable and eco-friendly urban development projects based on the Green Technology Center’s expertise in technological cooperation and SNUAC’s expertise in regional studies were also discussed. The future direction of the Asia Regional Information and Dissemination Center which is the current main agenda of SNUAC and cooperative projects for local development were considered based on the discussions at the round-table. The Green Technology Center and SNUAC plan to continuously seek ways to develop their partnership regarding international development cooperation projects that apply green technology in Asia.
