Imagining International Society in East Asia: International Political Thought of Korean Intellectuals, the ninth in the SNUAC Series in Asian Studies and supported by SNUAC Research Grant, by Professor In-Sung Jang(Dept. of Political Science & Int’l Relations) has received the 2018 Outstanding Publication Award from the Korean Political Science Association.

This book contemplates on the formation of the East Asian international society and the surrounding method of thinking from an international political thought perspective. The book explains the East Asian discourse and the character and the historical mode of the East Asian thinking from an international societalization perspective. This book differs from the preexisting East Asian discourse which deals with the formation of regional cooperation and local communities by elucidating the ontology and epistemology of the social relationships between the regional states.
