Review

SNUAC supports outstanding Asia-related basic research projects which integrate the relatively weak ‘regional studies’ on Asia in Korea and ‘thematic studies’ that are gaining strategic importance at the state level. Eight public projects and four invited projects were selected in 2016 and they were supported in order to lay the foundation for basic research in Asian studies. The ten research teams presented on their research results on November 29-30 summarizing their two years of research.
