The Heart of Eurasian Beats Again: The Historic Formation and Dynamics of Central Asia introducing the historical formation of Central Asia as a ‘region’ in Eurasia was published. The joint research conducted by the SNUAC Center for Eurasian and Central Asian Studies was funded by the 2015 SNU Research Grants for Asian Studies and the book is the second outcome of the joint research following the 2015 publication, China’s Rise and Central Asia. The book is composed of three chapters and each chapter was written by 10 experts specializing in politics, economy, society, and history of Eurasia and Central Asia. The authors revealed the fundamental issues necessary for examining the region and successfully unraveled the meaning of such issues. The Heart of Eurasian Beats Again: The Historic Formation and Dynamics of Central Asia is an academic book for experts relating to the region, but it will also serve as a practical guide for those who seek information on the region.
