International Forum on the Study of Bamboo Slips from Warring States and QinꞏHan Period
- Date: September 5th-6th, Saturday-Sunday, 2026, 10:00 – 17:00
- Location: Room 302, Bldg. 4
The 3rd International Forum on the Study of Bamboo Slips from Warring States and QinꞏHan Period will be held to explore various aspects of ancient East Asia through excavated manuscript materials from the Warring States and Qin–Han periods. Jointly organized by Seoul National University, Wuhan University, and Kyoto University, the conference aims to deepen international academic exchange and scholarly research by bringing together leading researchers from Korea, China, and Japan. During the COVID-19 pandemic, scholarly exchange with overseas researchers was conducted primarily through online meeting platforms such as Zoom. However, the limitations of virtual communication often made sustained and effective scholarly dialogue difficult. This conference therefore seeks to reinvigorate in-person international academic exchange and, in doing so, to further promote research and scholarly activities in ancient Chinese history based on bamboo and wooden manuscript materials.
