The Trump administration’s Middle East policy during his first term focused on a transactional approach, as seen in the Abraham Accords, the “maximum pressure” campaign on Iran, and the partial withdrawal of U.S. troops from Syria. In the second term, this orientation is expected to continue, emphasizing peace agreements, energy security, and counterterrorism efforts while minimizing direct military action. This discussion will explore the potential expansion of the Abraham Accords and the future of the Gaza Strip. It will also examine the role of South Korea, a key U.S. ally and a member of the UN Security Council.
