SNUAC’s Asia-Africa Center has been hosting special lectures since 2022, inviting Africa experts from around the world to promote public understanding and academic exchange on Africa. On Wednesday, March 26th, 2025, we are honored to welcome Chairman Young-chae Kim of the Korea-Africa Foundation as the speaker for the 9th SNU Africa Special Lecture. In this lecture, he will present on the topic: “South Korea’s Development Model: A Solution for Africa?” He will explore the applicability of South Korea’s development model in the current African context and offer fresh insights into an Africa-specific development approach. Attendees will have the opportunity to examine South Korea’s development history and reflect on its relevance to Africa’s historical, political, and cultural landscape, as well as its diplomatic relations with South Korea.
