  • Location: Room 303, SNUAC (Bldg. 101)

Moderator: Prof. Hyunji Kwon (Sociology, SNU)

We are hosting a lecture by an expert active in Indonesia on the entry of transnational corporations (such as Hyundai) into the Indonesian market in relation to the transition to electric vehicles (EVs), as well as their approaches to value chain formation and management.

Prior to joining ABNR in 2023, Edgar practiced as a foreign lawyer at a Korea-based tier-1 law firm and as an in-house counsel at an Indonesian corporate group. He has advised on a number of major deals that involved MOUs with the Indonesian government, an EV battery joint venture (chosen as a deal of the year by TXF), Lotte Group’s LINE Project, the initial setup of an auto company in Indonesia (including business structuring and land purchase), a wide variety of initial investments and equity transactions, the mergers of several multinational companies, and the structuring of large-scale factory investments for global companies.
