The Program on Asia’s Intellectual Values has consistently focused on the value of Confucianism. In this regard, we have invited Professor Sungmoon Kim from the City University of Hong Kong to give a lecture titled “Power as Responsibility: Confucian Origins and Modern Implications.” Professor Kim has a deep interest in Confucian democracy, constitutional theory, and East Asian politics, and has consistently published related works in English. Therefore, this lecture is expected to provide a valuable opportunity to understand the relationship between Confucianism and modern political ideologies.
