
This lecture underscores the importance of “resilience” in practical applications, particularly at the community and city scales. It will explore diverse interpretations and applications of resilience, featuring Thai case studies focused on local practices for mitigating climate risks such as floods, droughts, and sea-level rise. Key research findings and publications will be discussed, alongside geographical risk data and local risk information from the case studies. The lecture will also elaborate on the Community-based Climate Risk Resilience (CBCRR) approach, clarifying the process and key indicators for building community resilience in practice.
