중국인민대학교 토지관리학과에서 2010년에 박사학위를 취득한 후, 토지+자유연구소에서 통일북한센터장으로 일하고 있다. 주요 연구분야는 지공주의 공유도시론, 공공토지임대제, 사회주의 체제 전환국(중국, 북한)의 발전모델 및 부동산정책 등이다. 2017년에 통일경제 분야로 제2회 김기원 학술상을 수상했다.
Dr. Sung Chan Cho is a chief researcher at the “Center for Territorial Integration of Korea” at the Institute of Land and Liberty. After acquiring his MSc in Urban and Regional Planning at Seoul National University, he obtained his Ph.D. in Land Management at Renmin University, Beijing, China. His main research themes are the public land leasing system and development strategies for socialist countries in economic transition, including the urban sharing economy.
