<\/p>\n
The purpose of this Fellowship is to support scholars whose research and writings are related to Asia and to promote academic exchanges with SNUAC researchers by providing working space and small research grant.<\/p>\n
The nature of the fellowship is a small research grant that is given to incoming visiting scholars with their own funds. This is not an employment-based scheme, so the Institute will not be able to help fellowship recipients get entry visas; however, we will provide working space, library and internet access as well as links to campus-based scholars and networks for those in residence during term period.<\/p>\n
\u2013\u00a0The fellowship lasts for 6 months (From March 2026 to August 2026).<\/p>\n
Fellowship applicant needs to meet the following requirements.<\/p>\n
Domestic or Foreign researcher who conducts research on themes and regions of Asia.<\/p>\n
Holds a doctoral degree or has professional expertise equivalent to a doctoral degree.<\/p>\n
Must be able to reside at SNUAC and conduct research during the term period.<\/p>\n
Research grant: KRW 3,600,000 (during the six months); provided upon successful completion of responsibilities.<\/p>\n
Working space and access to SNU library and other research facilities.<\/p>\n
The fellow should present the interim results through a presentation in <Asia Square Brownbag Seminar Series> within three months of the beginning of the fellowship.<\/p>\n
The fellow should submit the final report on the research and activities three weeks before the end of the fellowship.<\/p>\n
The fellow should contribute an article to SNUAC Asia Regional Review Webzine <DiverseAsia> (https:\/\/snuacwebzine.snu.ac. The fellow should acknowledge SNUAC when publishing articles, books, etc. that are based on the research conducted during the fellowship period.<\/p>\n Fellows are encouraged to actively participate in academic\/exchange events and to form networks with other fellows.<\/p>\n In order to apply, applicants must complete and submit an online application at\u00a0\u00a0https:\/\/snuac.snu.ac.kr\/ Submission Deadline: Please submit by 5pm, Friday, November 21, 2025<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0Selected fellows will be announced on SNUAC website in December 2025.<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0Selection may not be made when there are no qualified applicants.<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0The submitted documents will not be returned.<\/p>\n7.
