[News] CNRS Researchers Visit SNUAC<\/strong><\/p>\n

On June 25, 2025, a delegation from the French National Centre for Scientific Research (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, CNRS) visited SNUAC. Founded in 1939, CNRS is a world-renowned research institution under the French government, conducting a wide range of scientific research from fundamental to applied disciplines across fields such as mathematics, physics, life sciences, and the humanities and social sciences. The visiting delegation included Jacques Maleval, Head of the CNRS Asia Office; William Berthomiere, Vice President for International Cooperation (Social Sciences and Humanities); and Edouard Besserve, Deputy Director for Asia-Pacific Affairs.<\/p>\n

During the visit, the CNRS representatives introduced the institution\u2019s mission and international research activities, highlighting the importance of collaboration in the social sciences within the context of Asian studies. They also proposed the possibility of joint projects under the Horizon Europe framework. SNUAC shared its experiences in collaboration with European and American institutions and its achievements in building research databases for Asian studies. Both parties expressed strong interest in interdisciplinary research and agreed to explore opportunities for joint projects utilizing European scientific networks. Discussions also included concrete plans for future cooperation with the French research team.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
