This seminar series aims to foster an in-depth understanding of Africa and promote academic exchange by inviting experts from various disciplines and professional backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"344\" data-end=\"1199\">The 23rd SNU Africa Seminar, scheduled for Friday, April 11th, 2025, will feature Professor Ajay Kumar Dubey from the Centre for African Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), India. He will deliver a lecture and lead a discussion on the topic, <em data-start=\"610\" data-end=\"687\">\u201cIndia\u2019s Africa Engagement: Historical Solidarity to Emerging Partnership.\u201d<\/em> In this session, Professor Dubey will trace the historical trajectory of India-Africa relations from ancient times to the present, offering insights into recent trends in cooperation between India and African nations, as well as future prospects. Through this seminar, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the expanding economic, diplomatic, and security collaborations between India and Africa and develop new perspectives on the interconnection and cooperation between the two civilizations.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p data-start=\"344\" data-end=\"1199\">Professor Ajay Kumar Dubey is a distinguished scholar in international relations, African studies, and diaspora studies and is currently affiliated with the School of International Studies at JNU. He obtained his Ph.D. in International Studies from JNU in 1992 and has served as the Director of the Centre for African Studies and various research programs. His extensive research covers India-Africa relations, Indian migration, and development issues, with over 10 published books, numerous academic papers, and the supervision of more than 55 doctoral dissertations.
