In other words, \u015aiva\u2019s absolute consciousness initiates the process of expansion into the universe. At this initial stage, there arises a distinction between the subject (<em>\u015aiva<\/em>) and the object (<em>\u015aakti<\/em>), but their essential unity remains intact. Meanwhile, <em>M\u0101y\u0101<\/em> (illusion) enables limited actions and experiences. <em>M\u0101y\u0101<\/em> and its associated five coverings (<em>ka\u00f1chukas<\/em>) impose limitations on \u015aiva\u2019s infinite nature, forming individuality and separation.
