On August 28, 2024, the 8th Korea-EU International Conference on Middle Eastern and North African Affairs was jointly held at the Shilla Hotel Yeongbingwan, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the EU Delegation to Korea, and SNUAC.<\/p>\n

The event began with opening remarks by Professor Suhong Chae, Director of SNUAC. Professor Gi Yeon Koo\u00a0from the West Asia Center served as the moderator for the third session, while Dr. Euihyun Hwang\u00a0participated as a discussant in the second session. In accordance with the Chatham House Rule, the names of the presenters and discussants were not disclosed to the public in advance. During the conference, experts in Middle Eastern affairs and diplomacy from around the world openly shared their insights on pressing issues in the region. The event concluded successfully amid a lively atmosphere of continuous discussions.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
