We are inviting the program&#8217;s Ph.D. candidate for a discussion on comparative regional studies, Asianism, and the agenda of the dissertation he is preparing.<\/p>\n<p>Hojae Jeong graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Korea University and worked as a journalist at DongA Ilbo. As he surveyed Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia, he met major figures such as\u00a0Thaksin of Thailand,\u00a0Mahathir of Malaysia, and\u00a0Sam Rainsy of Cambodia. He has translated works such as\u00a0<em>Thaksin: The Business of Politics in Thailand<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>A Doctor in the House: The Memoirs of Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad,\u00a0<\/em>and published a monograph, <em>The Asian Era Comes Like K-Pop<\/em> (2020).
