Introduction of SNU Asia Center<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SNU Asia Center was established with a vision, that is, \u201cContribution towards Asia\u2019s symbiotic development by building an international hub based on the research that focuses on both the region(s) and topics of Asia, and by creating and sharing knowledge for emerging future.<\/li>\n<li>In medium and long term, SNU Asia center strives to become a world hub for research on Asia that engages with the regions and topics related with Asia by establishing a research center with other Asian regional centers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2. Introduction of Support Project on researches on Asia<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This project focuses on the research, international exchange, and human development that will lead the prosperous age of Asian studies.<\/li>\n<li>It also includes projects which support publishing researches on Asia and writing a doctoral dissertation and SNUAC Master\u2019s Thesis and Doctoral Dissertation Award.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Summary of SNUAC Doctoral Dissertation Award<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Purpose\n<ul>\n<li>SNU Asia Center seeks to promote researches on Asia by young researchers by granting an award for excellent Master\u2019s thesis and Ph.D dissertation on Asian region(s) and integrative topics related with Asia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Qualifications and Details<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(1) Qualifications<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s Thesis and doctoral dissertation on the region(s) and topics related with Asia in domestic universities and research institutes (Exception: Korean Studies)<\/li>\n<li>The thesis or dissertation that were submitted in the past two years (including the graduates of August 2019)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(2) Details:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two Master\u2019s thesis and two Doctoral dissertations will be selected.<\/li>\n<li>1,000,000 won granted to the receiver of Excellent Master\u2019s thesis Award and 3,000,000 won granted to the receiver of Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award<\/li>\n<li>Support for publishing is available in case doctoral dissertation is published as a book.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>3. Application and Assessment<\/p>\n<p>(1) Period of Application: July 10<sup>th<\/sup>, 2019 ~ August 17<sup>th<\/sup>, 2019<\/p>\n<p>(2) Period of Assessment: August 20<sup>th<\/sup>, 2019 ~ September 21<sup>st<\/sup>, 2019<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The receivers of the award will be selected by Research Committee of SNU Asia Center by going through two phases of assessment (First Phase: Assessment of suitability\/ Second Phase: assessment by experts)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(3) Announcement of receivers: In the beginning of October 2019<\/p>\n<p>(4) Award Ceremony: After late October 2019<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>4.
