The colloquium will provide an opportunity for the authors in the December issue of the webzine to introduce their articles encouraging public discussions. The colloquium provided an opportunity to meet the contributors of the new issue before its publication. Presentations and questions touching on diverse issues from anthropological to political and economic within the entire Asian region were presented at this event.<\/p>\n<p>In the first session, current issues on the blasphemy law in Indonesia, controversy on the historical view of Japan\u2019s bestselling author Haruki Murakami, the disputes surrounding Indologist Wendy Doniger, and the story of Yemen with the title \u2018Pitiable Arabia\u2019 were examined. The second session\u2019s presentations were from a different angle where the focus was on the issues of the Korean peninsula that are currently extending to world affairs. The internal situation of Iran after Trump administration\u2019s withdrawal from the nuclear agreement, the future state of affairs in the Korean peninsula based on North Korea-ASEAN relations, the factors interfering with the success of Korea-Far East Russia cooperation, and the birth of the capitalist class in Kazakhstan society were observed. The last session involved fieldwork research.
