Major research topics are time-series analysis of the changing landscape of Asian civil society organizations, focusing on environmental and human rights issues, as well as social economy. The core themes include &#8216;energy transition and ecotourism&#8217;, &#8216;migration and multiculturalism&#8217;, and &#8216;community and care democracy&#8217;. Specifically, CSP examines the landscape and network structures of various areas in Korea, Asia, and global civil society, as well as citizen activities in areas such as environment, labor, energy, health, women, youth, and social economy. The research spans from grassroots activities to national-level governance, corporations, and citizen movements, encompassing the multi-dimensional agents related to civil society.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_text_separator title=&#8221;Main Projects and Research Topics&#8221; title_align=&#8221;separator_align_left&#8221;][vc_column_text]\n<ul>\n<li>Research on the topography and network structure of Korean, Asian, and global civil societies: Conducted a survey on organizations registered on the conspectus of NGOs and non-profit NGOs for fundamental statistics based on their aims, areas, primary activities, organizational structures, and finances; proceeded with publication<\/li>\n<li>Connecting macro- and micro-perspectives on civil society: Published \u2018Asian Studies in a Global Context Series\u2019 that connects macro-perspectives on global NGOs and globalization and micro\u0002perspectives on residents, citizens, villages, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Asia Civil Society Workshop Series: Conducted comparative research on cases of Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong with topics of civil society organizations, multi-cultural society, social corporate, and social value<\/li>\n<li>Construction of network for East Asian civil society researchers: Built domestic cooperative research networks with the Korean Sociological Association and the Critical Sociological Association of Korea, and international networks with GIC at Toyo Univ., Toshisha Univ., the Association for the Study of Political Society (ASPOS), and the East Asia Sociological Association<\/li>\n<li>Comparative research of care democracy and light community in the East Asian region<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=&#8221;Publications&#8221; title_align=&#8221;separator_align_left&#8221;][vc_column_text]Yang, J. &amp; Lim, H.C.
