The Asia region, including Korea, faces significant threats to sustainable development. Our program categorizes these challenges as Mega-Transitions, Mega-Cities, and Mega-Disasters. We address these issues by integrating natural, social sciences, and humanities, fostering international collaboration and promoting sustainability in the Korean Peninsula and throughout Asia. In 2019, we initiated the establishment of the Future Earth Korea National Committee Secretariat. Through collaboration with Future Earth, we aim to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Korea and Asia. We also provide research and education platforms for experts, policymakers, and the general public in relevant fields.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_text_separator title=&#8221;Main Projects and Research Topics&#8221; title_align=&#8221;separator_align_left&#8221;][vc_column_text]\n<ul>\n<li>Multi-Layered Climate and Environmental Research Network for a Sustainable Earth: This project builds a network of experts in SDG-related environmental and climate fields and establishes a foundation for international cooperation.<\/li>\n<li>International Research Network for K-SDGs and Spatial Sustainability: In collaboration with Future Earth, this network proposes alternatives to address spatial and environmental challenges in the Korean Peninsula.<\/li>\n<li>Fulfilling the Role of the National Committee of Korea: We perform the functions and roles of the National Committee of the Future Earth General Assembly.
